Hopefully malcontents from S FL wont move to NC.
PS- The NC comments are getting kind of old.

Since I moved to west palm beach from dallas, tx a month ago. I have felt things weren't right over that period of time. You can tell by living here that people are desperate. I have been here a month and I have not found a job, even minimum wage. That usually is the cause of higher crime rate. Even in dallas I didn't here about this much crime. There is jobs in dallas maybe thats why.

Well the overexagerrated negative commets about south florida on these forums are getting kind of old to. I was born in West Palm Beach and raised in Ausin Texas and currently live in Charlotte NC. And the charlotte metro was named on of the most crime ridden metros in the nation, just below MIAMI metro. It seems like everyday on the news I hear about a murder over here. Its getting crazy up here. And none of the transplants from south florida are doing those crimes either. Now I am Haitian-American and it is kind of sad to see what is happening in south florida right now with all the haitian gangs and the violence. But I get tired of people painting Charlotte as this utopia where everyone gets along. Because belive it or not charlotte is growing and with more out of control growth means more crime. And there is a huge problem with MS-13 gangmembers up here. And yes charlotte may have a better over all quality of life cheaper housing and stale job market, but it aint heaven they still have small two lane roads in a city of 600,000 and the more people moving here from all over the US the more it is gonna become just like FL and CA and NY. Sorry for ranting if I offended you I apologize I just wanted to get my point across.

I thought I'd say it before someone else did. Everytime someone posts about how they enjoy their new homes in places like GA, NC, or TN, someone always has to add their 2 cents about how it cant be true that these places are better than S FL, ppl are nicer than in S FL, and the crime is lower in other places. And many ppl ARE HAPPIER once they leave.
And yes, I am a FL native

^^^No, I agree. I used to live close to CLT, unlike many posters here who read the stats and post how dangerous it is. It is getting bigger and it (crime) is getting worse. I once thought of CLT for relocation possibilities, but then when I read (not here on this forum) but on another source that ppl from S FL, NY and Boston were crowding the streets, road rage and congestion was getting worse, I decided it wasnt for me. But there are lots of nice places around the CLT area that are far safer, the ppl are friendlier, and ppl arent so rude and aggressive on the roads, unlike many areas in S FL.
And by the way, this is a Charlotte-specific problem. FL has problems like this in many of its cities. Charlotte's crime probably isnt as bad as places like Tampa, Miami and Orlando (per capita). Plus, Charlotte's crime cant be as bad as Orlando's due to the fact that Orlando has more murders in 2006 and so far in 2008.

You were going to live in the airport? That would be cheap, at least.
