All I can say is that you and I must have very different ideas about what counts as a ghetto.

Can not think of any in...
Cooper City
Weston
Pembroke Pines (the east side is a working class area but it's not quite "ghetto" or high crime)
Coconut Creek (same, except for Creek it's the south side)
Parkland
Coral Springs, Plantation, Tamarac, Margate, and Sunrise don't really have anything too severe, but they do have small areas with "real" poverty and/or have sections that border on bad areas. That being said, I can't think of a "ghetto" area in Broward County that is west of University Drive, except for maybe this small section of Sunrise near Nob Hill Rd and Sunset Strip, and there also also sections of Miramar that are fine on their own, but close enough to Miami Gardens for it to cause some problems.
Up in Palm Beach, I can't really think of anything. In Dade, there is Aventura, Doral, Miami Lakes, Pinecrest, most of what is defined as "Kendall", and Palmetto Bay.
PS- Sugar Pond Manor is typical suburbia except for maybe two blocks! 12th Fairway is worn. Jupiter has a few rough areas, however. They just keep them exceptionally well hidden.

What I find funny about Palm Beach County is that they try to hide all of the bad areas here with walls and trees/shrubs so the tourists and potential home buyers don't see them.
In Jupiter the area around Limestone Creek has some less than stellar neighborhoods. Believe it or not, some are run down, and yes, they're in Jupiter!

Well, ostensibly, the walls are for traffic noise, but yes, it's, um, odd that some areas seem to get them approved much easier. There's a wall blocking the view of Counterpoint now from folks driving on State Road 7/"441" near Royal Palm Beach. I sure wouldn't call Counterpoint a ghetto by any stretch of the imagination, but it was built as lower budget homes and lots of folks haven't kept them up that well over the years.
It's surprising they never tried to put a wall up near Fruity Acres--which looked kinda like Counterpoint does now as far back as I can remember, but I guess they figured the transformation of Southern was enough (and "traffic walls" are a relatively recent phenomenon). . . although if they'd raise the speed limit above 45, folks would be less likely to notice Fruity Acres while driving on Southern. The idea was to make Southern more or less a highway from the western communities to the downtown area. What highway has a speed limit of 45??

Why are the ghetto sections of I-95 blocked off for highway noise yet the parts near Jupiter and such are not? And for some reason the only good Delray Beach neighborhood near I-95 does not have a sound barrier. What is up with this?

Well, the Jupiter section doesn't get nearly the traffic volume. Are there any sound walls up in that area? I don't know. (To answer this seriously), we'd have to research exactly how the sound wall process works. While I'm not saying that it can't be correlated to lower-income areas in some way, I'm sure it's not just a cosmetic factor. Who would care that much about that (and why) that they could get the money allocated based on it?

There's no sound barriers near the Jupiter portion, even with the residential homes right near the highway. All I know is that all of the lower income sections of Delray Beach are blocked off with shrubs and walls while the newer suburban developments off I-95 are not.
