Why are the only people searching for roommates in Palm Beach...
Single white male professionals from age 30-50??? South Florida really must have been built for these types, huh? Well, and the retirees. I just noticed this while searching on craigslist. I'm white too, so don't go getting your panties in a bunch and flag my post.

I am actually suprised you are seeing so many ads for "single, white, male, professional"-types.

Well, the demographic that uses craigslist the most is probably primarily white male professionals aged 0-50, so no real surprise.

Rentals
I have a daughter in her early 20's. She is a college graduate. She lives in Manhattan, yes, by herself, in a studio. We have discussed, many times, about getting a roommate or roommates. All her female friends live alone.
Her guy friends seem to have roommates.
Is this a trend?
I have no idea why other than she had her own room while growing up.
In college, she seemed fine in the dorms and she had a dorm mate.
My son, on the other hand, can't wait to have his own place and have roommates.
Go figure, right?

It's much easier to live alone, I'll say that. I've considered it many times out of the convenience factor, but it's much more expensive and I just hate living alone, in general. Seems more dangerous too, but who knows, maybe I watch murder mysteries too much.

I would tend to think women, for security reasons, especially in some areas of the Palm Beach County would *not* want to advertize that they are living alone by stating they need a roommate.
I would never advise a women I know to risk that, in any market, let alone anywhere near central Palm Beach County.
