My husband and I are trying to decide whether we should live in Hollywood, Fl. or Delray Beach, Fl. Personally, from what I have read on these forms and other websites, I prefer Delray Beach, Fl. My husband has his eyes set on Hollywood, Fl. I believe that is due mainly to how much money he will spend on gas if we stay in Hollywood instead of Delray Beach, Fl. I want to know, which town is safer? As far as residency, walking, riding bikes. Downtown?? The Good and the Bad of both towns.

Hollywood is safer overall (neither is great) but Delray has a more lively downtown while downtown Hollywood still remains rough around the edges. Delray has a greater wealth gap with almost no middle class, while Hollywood is predominately working to middle class. I would definitely say Delray is less congested and easier on the eyes, but Hollywood has a more central, convenient location. The population is younger and more diverse in Hollywood. All and all, unless you have very specialized interests or family/friends/work in the area, you can do better than either one.

My husband and I are trying to decide whether we should live in Hollywood, Fl. or Delray Beach, Fl. Personally, from what I have read on these forms and other websites, I prefer Delray Beach, Fl. My husband has his eyes set on Hollywood, Fl. I believe that is due mainly to how much money he will spend on gas if we stay in Hollywood instead of Delray Beach, Fl. I want to know, which town is safer? As far as residency, walking, riding bikes. Downtown?? The Good and the Bad of both towns.
