Smile Best Place to Live and Job Opportunities near Pompano

Hi,

We might be relocating to South Forida this summer due to my husbands' job. He will be working near Pompano. I have visited 2 friends in Florida, one in Lighthouse Point near Fort Lauderdale and the other in Coco Beach. I liked Lighthouse Point but it seemed very congested being so close to Ft Lauderdale and I absolutely LOVED Coco Beach.
Can anyone recommend the best places near Pompano that are more like the Coca Beach Area. We want a place that is safe, not all retirees, and not overly expensive.

Also, I have owned my own dance studio for the past 27 years (we are in our 40's, but act like we are in our 30's lol), and I would love to keep teaching children dance in a good quality dance studio that offers ballet, jazz, and tap. It doesn't have to be a "competiton" studio, but one that really cares about the children learning while also having fun. Just thought maybe thee were some parents on here whose children attend a great studio and could give me some feed back. I would be willling to drive up to 30 minutes from where we live to the dance studio.

Thank You!

Honestly, you're not going to find anything like the Cocoa Beach area down here. It's for the exact reasons of it being crowded, expensive and full of retirees. At least, the areas closer to the beach. Lighthouse Point is doable, but I wouldn't live in any of the other areas nearby. I've always been a suburbs kind of gal, so the areas out east do NOT appeal to me whatsoever.

As for the dance studio, my daughter has been at Mrs. P's Dance and Acrobatic Studio for 3 years now. She's been quite happy there. She's not on the competition circuit, but they do have that available. The studio is in West Boca which really isn't that far (about the 30 mins) from Lighthouse Point. Other studios that I know of are Boca Dance and Dance Theatre of Parkland.

Good luck with your move. I only wish that I could be out of here, but that's for another day and another therapy session.

Smile A suggestion

You would like Lauderdale by the Sea, just south of Pompano Beach east of the intracoastal.
