Looking to Buy Townhouse boynton beach/Lake worth/Palm beach Garden
Hi
I need some help getting some informations about these areas. i live in Virginia and we will be coming with my husband to scout area to buy a vacation home in WPB. I am not familiar with the area except through hours of internet browsing. I am looking for short sales townhouses.
Any advice on what nice new development to look for in these areas. I like Coconut walk in lake worth but i read some negative posts about the area being a ghetto.
I am really confused. please any advice is greatly appreciated.

What price range are you looking for ? I know of several complexes and single family homes that are very reasonably price. So low you probably would think they are dumps, NOT !!

Look in Westwood Gardens and Westwood Lakes in Palm Beach Gardens. A good site to search city, then neighborhood is www.palmbeach.expertrealty.com

I believe both Legends and San Matero were condo conversions that didn't quite make it. San Matero is in a pretty good location, right next to the Gardens Mall, convenient to shops and dining. A bit bland in appearance, but the units were nice overall.
I am not too familar with Legends in the Gardens, but it is failry new, also in a very good and convenient location.
The only potential downside to condo conversions (for some) is that they attract a lot of investment buyers and renters. Make sure the HOA is solvent in both cases. The rents are sufficiently high in both places that you shouldn't have to worry about too much "riff raff," however.

Whatever you do, please be careful with the toxic Chinese Drywall that is present in many communities.
I can fill you in more or you can just google it. It's a nightmare really and that's just not what you want to deal with when you buy a new home, not to mention the health effects.
