Retiring to South Florida (Parkland: living, gardens, activities)

How about Retirement communities? Anyone visited many in S Florida? I know they do tours but I don't have time for them all, so any information you have will help. Looking for Independent or active living, but something with assisted care close by would help.

My grandmother lives in Aston Gardens in Parkland. She started in their independent living area and is now in their assisted living.

It's a very nice, clean and lively facility. They have a large dining area and offer the whole gamut of senior activities.

My mother, who looks after my grandmother, seems to really like it (and she did A LOT of research). Good luck!
