Hello -

Posting for my wife. Just relocated from a much larger metro area out of state. My wife is of Asian descent. We have noticed there isn't much of a Chinatown around here. Are we missing it, maybe?

Also - she prefers to have her hair fixed up at locally owned asian shops. We're in our early 30's - so the older lady "beauty shops" aren't really what she's looking for. Anyone know of any - and that aren't silly expensive. More of a younger family-run kind of establishment ...

Many thanks,
Nathan

I don't think there is a chinatown at ALL in Palm Beach County. The Asian population is pretty well integrated into the mainstream.

If you can't get the answer here, the best people to ask may be Asian women at church, restaurants, neighbors, etc.

I go to Dubonnet in Fort Pierce because I admired an asian woman's hair at the Ft Pierce outdoor market and she told me where she gets it done. I have different texture but knew from her cut that the stylist was good, it was a point cut precision cut. The stylist's name is Fallon. She is not asian but can cut Asian hair if your wife can't find someone. Ft Pierce is far for you though but I'd go for my hair. It's a nice ride if you go up along the beach. If she works on Saturdays you can go to the market on the Intracoastal it's great on Sat mornings till noon. Several asian vendors too of all ages you may be able to network. Like I did lol.
