I ALWAYS agree with you but Westchester county has AWESOME public schools. They are at least a year ahead of PBC public schools.

Kings Academy, Benjamin or St Andrews in Boca Raton. All private.

Well, I don't know about Westchester. I do know, however, that by most objective standards, Jupiter schools excell. They are a "10" rated district (out of a possible 10) on Greatschools.net.

I live in North Palm Beach (GREAT area), but I am looking to relocate because of the schools. I heard Jupiter schools are pretty good, and I was even trying to get my kids into a school in Palm Beach Gardens (which is just west of me). I have 2 children in elementary school. My oldest started out in Loxahatchee, and I loved it there. My sister lives & teachers out there & has a daughter in 4th grade. She is still very happy with the school (Pierce Hammock). Good Luck!

Wellington is definitely a GREAT area and the schools are top notch. I am an educator and have been teaching for over 12 years. You will be very happy with the schools there! Once you are closer to your move- let me know- (email me) and I will give you the names of some gated communities you might want to look at. Also there are some newer developments in Western Lake Worth (just less than a mile south of Wellington- same area- same schools-) When you search for homes in this area, they may be less money but you need to be careful as to which schools you are assigned to- but honestly- the public school system is wonderful in that area... I wouldn't worry.
