Boca Raton or Jupiter?
I have heard good things about both Jupiter and Boca Raton.
I am a 26 male engaged to be married. I am looking to buy a winter home in FL and maybe make it a permanent home.
I would like to be near shopping, restaurants, bars, movie theaters.
I have lived in Brooklyn NY my entire life.
Please let me know your thoughts, they are greatly appreciated!

"I would like to be near shopping, restaurants, bars, movie theaters"....
Then Boca maybe be better, although don't even think of anything like New York.
Boca or Jupiter? They are very diverese. Boca is definitely bigger, richer and much, much snobbier. Jupiter is more real, down to earth, but it's a nice area. I personally like Jupiter better, it's less congested, but you are not isolated or away from everything. If you need restaurants, bars movies, not only you can find them in Jupiter along Indiantown Rd, but you can head south on I-95 and be in Palm Beach gardens in 10 minutes.

there arent snobs in Jupiter?? I highly doubt that..that are snobs everywhere, money that too...and the sterotypes well that is just normal..the OP just do your homework, we felt the same way as MoItaly is posting and werent too sure, but after experiences we figured we can always change it if we dont love the area...Let me say we really like Boca...our neighbors are great and very nice and no they arent snobby, and surprisingly so far everyone we have met has been down to earth, they dont care what car u drive or what u wear etc..they came over and introduced themselves, invited us over and so on....we just met a wonderful couple thru our daughter we went to their house last night had a great evening....and our expereinces so far are not what we thought, in a good way.....there is shopping everywhere in Boca we are in West Boca....I have shopping at the 4 corners of glades and 441...then there is Coconut Creek, Coral Springs and Parkland...close to everything....congested yes traffic yes, but that is something we are used too so its ok with us....the beach is close as well....I dont know anything about Jupiter so I cant say......but again everyone has different experiences in an area, doesnt mean everyone will feel that way...again we were just very pleasantly surprised...

Jupiter all the way. Boca is too expensive. You have to live half an hour from the beach at least to find anything reasonably affordable. Boca feels like Broward County to me. Jupiter is a lot more like Old Florida still.
