In the Chapel Hill, Mission hill neighborhood there is just 1 now for sale that is half acre, it's listed at 499k. Based on the PBC PAPA website, there are only 3 or 4 - half acre lots total in the Chapel Hill area and only 1 for sale. Most lots in this area are between 8000 sqft and 12000 sqft. This home is 26900 sqft

I definately think it will be tuff finding a large place like this for 2-300k even though the market is down. Remember 499k in this market meens you can get it for probably 425-450

This statement is unfounded and not factual. The water has been proven to not have any relationship with the so called "cancer cluster".

My Oncologist is treating 70% of these patients and he really wishes that more focus would be applied to other possibilities rather than the water. He is convinced 'beyond a doubt' that the water has no part of this.

I wish that the uneducated would cool down the scare mongering, as it doesn't help the victims find a solution to the problem, or the innocent homeowners who may have to sell their home one bit.

Yes some of the wells may be to shallow, but hey folks you need some 'personal responsibility' here. Before I purchased my home in the "Acreage" I sent a water sample to a lab for testing along with a sample of "the city water". Guess what the city water was twice as bad as the well water.

Go figure?

Anyway since Erin "the class action lawsuit" queen was here and turned off the folks who seriously want some answers things have calmed down.

Personally I think they will find the truth, and it might not be from some "deep pocket" corporation that these people want to sue.

The Acreage is a fine place to live, I've been here 15 years. If anyone has a question from someone who lives in the Acreage feel free to ask.

It will probably be tough with 5 dogs, but you may want to try to rent in Jupiter Farms, PB Country Estates, the Acreage, Royal Palm Beach or Wellington before committing to buy. We have 3 dogs and were able to rent a very nice, big house. Not much yard space though they have plenty of space inside.

Seriously guys, stop with the cancer study garbage. The state has already stopped looking into any cancer issues except for one. Brain cancer in children...and they are doing that to be extra careful. the original studies showed that only in this group was there ANYTHING that seemed potential worth following up on. Their example of "higher" was two cases when based on the population numbers should show only one for one kind of cancer. Then they say oh, by the way, our population numbers are probably off, since their numbers showed 30,000 residents in an area with 40,000 to 50,000 residents, I'd say "off" is a bit of an understatement. NO ONE HAS EVER FOUND ANY MANMADE CONTAMINATION IN THE ACREAGE.

Proud Acreage Resident!

Not the area you wanted but worth mentioning is Port St Lucie, you would be shocked what you can buy there. Homes that were selling for 400,000 are now selling in the 100,000;s. I am not even exaggerating.

If you want to start a business you could do it right there as well. I would check it out. If it was not so far for my husband we would move there.
