Any modified lease should be looked at by a attorney before signing. On the norm all leases can be broken by either party. The landlord could easily reneg. Also if the landlord goes into foreclosure, your lease is worthless per see, without a agreement that the foreclosure party will honor it.

If the mortgage is with MERS you will have to vacate if foreclosed. Check the county records to see who is the last person/entity of lien record.

What do you mean that the lease can be broken by either party? I only thought that was the case if there were problems,ok by both parties,etc but not for no reason. Sorry just confused.
