Default Frontier again

Simply amazing. My phone is dead. I call the service number. The lady that anwers wants to know if there is another number they can call me back at. I giver her my cell number. I said I'd only be available at it for awhile longer today.

She says (and this is very close to exact) "Oh it won't be tonight". O.K. I thought but I ask her...."O.K., I thought maybe you could check and see if there is a problem with the line or if I have a problem".

She says "No, we can not do that". I said "Verizon could". (and they could) She says "We are not Verizon".

So I'm a bit stunned at her attitude and then she says "We are very busy in your area and it will be Wed before we can get to it". (This is Saturday). I sort of chuckle and say "really".

She says "have a good evening" and hangs up on me. Verizon was always polite and quick with their service. Frontier SUCKS. Monday it's gone.

Never mind my first bill was $10 more than my last Verizon bill. I call to cancel then and they say it was a "mistake" and it should be $10 less. Now it's going to be all of it less.

It's funny how they tell me to email or use their website if my internet is down.

We signed up for phone service at our vacation home. All we wanted was a basic, barebones phone service. Right off the bat they gave us everything we said we didn't want and billed to the hilt for it. The basic service was supposed to be about $28 or so, but so far the bill has always been about $100. Frontier wants us to pay the amount that they overcharged in order for them to clear it off the bill.

I think they are just being dishonest. They've added all the extras to the account and we didn't know about it until we got the bills.

Our first bill arrived and it was $10 higher than the Verizon one. So I call them and they said it was a "mistake" and that it should be $10 less.

The lady tells us to send in the "new" figure and she would adjust the bill. We did. I just happened to get the new bill today. The new figure is there but the previous bill wasn't adjusted.

That's exactly what they are telling us to do, pay the overcharged amount and they'll adjust the bill. Yeah right! They shouldn't need my money to do that.

The lady keeps saying we don't understand their billing system. They also said someone would call back within an hour today, nobody called back.

Our bill here in town stayed the same.

A little correction on my earlier post... We initially wanted the $28 plan, but to avoid the $200 cancellation fee when we turn it off for the winter, we took the $34.95 plan, which has been costing us $100.

More news from the east.... Stretch that string little tighter maybe? Might have been the slight breeze today.

HERALD'S PHONE SERVICE DOWN - Updates Could Be Affected

HERALD'S PHONE SERVICE DOWN - Updates Could Be Affected

(08/23/2010)

The Herald's Frontier landline is down, which could affect updates.

Landline service frequently goes down when there is a brief disruption of electric service.

Electric service has been slamming-off several times daily this summer.

The phone service has been down most of today (Monday).

However, at times, Internet service is working and the Herald can be reached by e-mail.
