Question Snow skiing with children in WVA

We are planning a ski trip. When we go my children will be 4 1/2 & 1 1/2. Obviously the 1 1/2 yr old wont be on the slopes, but my 4 1/2 year old will want to be involved in childrens activities.

Im researching Canaan Valley Resort. Has anyone stayed here. Which accomodations are best at Canaan Valley?

What other resorts in WV are good for children?

Any info is appreciated. I live in NC, but are travelling to WV (its a 1/2 way point for all of us vacationing together)

Thanks!

Other places you might consider:

Snowshoe Resort, in northern Pocahontas County, about midway between Elkins and Marlinton.

Winterplace Resort in southern West Virginia, between Beckley and Princeton.

Snorpus

I worked at Timberline one winter season, and I know there are options for youngsters as well as adults. They have this thing called ski school, where skilled skiiers will teach any child or group or children to ski or snowboard, there are different classes depending on their age and level of skill.
