Default restaurants in west Virginia

I seen this thread in another state forum so I thought it would be nice here to post restaurants that are good and are not chains.

I'll start it off with Grandma's Country Kitchen in Paw Paw, really good home cooking food.

In Huntington there is: Jim's Steak and Spaghetti House, Jewel City Seafood, Savanah's (upscale), Arthur's (upscale seafood), Rocco's, Nawab(Indian cuisine), Gyro Cafe (Greek/Mediterranean food) and of course all of the local hot dog stands such as Stewart's, Sam's, Hillbilly Hot dogs, Bowincal's, Frost Top and Mid-way Drive-in.

Good thread by the way.

Most elegant place in Charleston- Laurie's in the old train station. Chop House is pretty good too but little snobby. My favorite- Bridge Road Bistro- nice food and good atmosphere. Italian Fazio's- many people like it but to my mind it's BAD, they always overcook pasta. Blossom Deli- nice food too. Asian- in town-#1- Sushi Atlantic- owned and operate by old japanese couple-amazing. Ichiban is very good ***. place too., in So.Charleston- Taste of Asia (***, chinese, thai)
But

In Williamstown there is a small Italian place called Da Vinci's. On another forum I met a guy from Pittsburg who makes the drive with his wife to eat there. Also in Williamstown is a good little place called the Country Kitchen, right off the Interstate exit.

In Parkersburg there's the Mountaineer. It's busiest times are early mornings M-S(blue collar workers) and even earlier mornings Sat/Sun (everyone leaving the bars & clubs looking for food). Rafiel's, Don Amelio's, and there are some others that come to mind but the names escape me now...

Calm down, no moderator is censoring your posts. We have a built in software to do that and it sometimes gets ... overzealous

'Ichiban' means first/the best/foremost. Numbers in Japanese are: ichi (1), nee (2), sahn (3), shee (4) go (5), roku (6) shichi (7), hahchi (8), koo (9), joo (10).
