Default Wheeling Amusement Park?

Does anyone have any information on the developments going on in Wheeling? I was just wondering if the proposed amusement park is still happening or what?

Plans are still in the works for the amusement park. You can read about the story here:

Let's just say I'll believe it when I see it. A good friend of mine did some research on the guy who's behind it and it seems he's promised this same amusement park in several parts of the country and nothing has yet to materialize. Someone she spoke with said he has "million dollar dreams with $10 in his pocket."

Default Lots going on!

As far as I can tell, the amusement park is still in the works, and the land for it is currently being developed, they are working daily on it. On the hill right across from the site, across the Interstate, is the new Cabela's and now, stores and restaurants and banks are opening right and left. There is already a super Wal-Mart, Target, a new restaurant called Cheddar's that has gotten great reviews. We are really growing in that area and it will be a shot in the arm of the economy for us. Our area is a wonderful place to live and the school systems, especially in Marshall County, 12 miles below Wheeling is really a good system. Cost of living is good and the cost of homes is reasonable. I have my home on the market, because I am now a widow and don't need all the room but intend to stay in the area.
