I'm sure there's good points and bad points for each city that one lives in and the natives are just as quick to point out the bad as they are the good.
Im proud of all the Cities and towns where I am from. That being Kentucky. I love it here in West Virginia also. Some forum members need to flat out get over it.
I made the first thread about this subject a long time ago that was 200% better and would likely be able to beat up this thread with one arm tied behind it's back.
That city vs city mentality is prevalent on this website has a whole. Go to the Texas forum and you will see them bashing each others cities way more. I just think people get into about which town is better to live and try to outdo each other.

agreed.
I personally thing that it is less "my cities better than yours" attitude, and more like I love my city so much that we love our homes so much that we will defend them to the death!

The city v. city (or village/town v. village/town which is more appropriate for WV) is very similar to the 'my college football team is gonna whup up on your college team - we have better coaches, better players, better conference", etc. People who have insecurity about themselves and their worth gain security from relating to their town, local/state/pro football/basketball team, etc. - they internalize it like it is actually theirs or part of them, when in reality, the team/town doesn't even know the person even exists and would not miss them if they disappeared.
