go tribe is on a distinguished road
I have family in NE Ohio near Canton and I live in Elkins.
It takes me 4.5hrs. on the average to get back to Ohio
You can go via I-79 than Turnpike or I-79 than I-80 which is longer distance
about same time was and no toll.
Good Luck

119 is way quicker getting from Elkins to Morgantown.. I discovered this around my freshmen year of college. Using 119 only takes about an hour and an hour and 15 minutes to get to Morgantown from Elkins while 79 takes around an hour and 45 minutes.

Do you take Rt 119 all the way to MoTown? We'll have to check that out. How is the road?

Wonder which would be quicker from MoTown to Canaan:
Rt 119 to Elkins then Rt 33/32 to Canaan
or
When we are going from MoTown to Canaan, we take I-68 to Friendsville exit, go through Deep Creek, then Oakland, then hit one of two ways to Thomas/Davis/Canaan -- one is at Loch Lynn hit a road which takes us through Bayard then to Thomas - that is the way we usually go. Takes us 2 hours to go from MoTown to Canaan that way.

OK, I'm an idiot, guess it would be quicker the way we go considering it takes 30-45 minutes to get to Elkins from Canaan.

Don't forget he's traveling at GHO-speed... he's the same guy that passed three tractor trailers on an ice-covered highway by squeezing between the shoulder and the guard rail. !!!

And why not just stay on 219 from Oakland to Thomas? Going over to Bayard would seem to add a lot of miles.

My guys seem to think the road is straighter or something - for some reason they prefer it. Straighter road in that area - that's sort of funny, isn't it?

Wonderful, thank to all of you that answered my questions...I drive about 45 minutes to an hour now to get to our local va. not much different there. The more I know about Elkins the more I want to move there. I can't beleive it has everything that I require in a city. I just know I will be very comfortable and happy there. My granddaughter and her 2 little ones are now talking about moving with me,not sure that will happen but I know I will be there, the sooner the better,,,thanks again..

Yeah I used to take 119 all the way to Morgantown. It turns into Don Knotts Boulevard

Ha Ha... I do have a need for speed. My mom has always told me I should have been a pilot or a race car driver. But if I hadn't passed those tractor trailers I would have been stuck if I would have stopped since my car is front wheel drive. It was going great in the snow. Jake said he was glad we were in my car, and I asked him why and he said because it was all wheel drive. I then told him that Jettas are front wheel drive ha ha.

Maybe I'm going into the wrong profession. Stunt Car driver sounds glamorous
