I previously reported on another thread that the Berkeley Plaza Theater 7 in Martinsburg is planning on opening a movie theater in Charles Town behind the Sheetz gas station on route 340 (across from Aldi's and the Windmill Crossing development).
At the same location there will be a Tractor Supply Company and tire store. The ground was being prepared all summer and it looks like building is set to start soon.
UPDATE:
I was at the Berkeley Theater 7 last night and the employee at the box office informed me that the Charles Town movie theater will be opening spring 2012. Unlike their Martinsburg location it will be new and modern. No info if it will feature traditional seating or stadium seating.
Great news thanks was worried that Tractor Supply was the only thing coming in there. They told me the same thing months ago but it didn't seem like it was going to happen.
Not stupid or dumb but cost effective. This family has keep costs down and enables people who maybe can't afford or don't want to spend 10 a ticket to see a movie. I can afford it but don't because if I do and someone acts up in there I get upset. You would be amazed how well mannered people are in the Berkeley theaters compared to those that charge more.
Call it strange or dumb but in my opinion doing so is ignorant. Those services cost the company money which is passed on to you the customer. This society is so used to it we pay it like a tax. Well I for one applaud them for taking care of the little guy and will visit often.
Sounds very penny wise and pound foolish to me. Ultimately the customers (market) will decide. But I'm pretty sure there's a reason why like 99% of all businesses -- and virtually all bigger ones, like a movie theater -- are not cash-only.

With no competition in Charles Town it won't matter, thankfully
