I love Minard's too. It is my wife's favorite.

Ye Olde Alpha in Wheeling, West Virginia! Everytime we are in Wheeling, eating there is a must! They've been open since 1932, and are still packed almost every night to this day. The food portions are plentiful, and tastes unquestionably unique! -mmccul

Ditto the Hutte mentioned earlier, love that place and wouldn't eat for a whole day just so I could pig out on the Sunday buffet. I wish Ms. M was still with us, she was great. Muriale's and Minard's are both favorites for us as well.

Hellbender Burritos in Davis is another spot I like. El Gran Sabor in Elkins is another different spot. Dukes and the Motor Lodge in Elkins have some good stuff if you pick the right items. Around here, the Mediterranean Cafe in Charles Town is a good location and John's Family Restaurant in Rippon. Kings Pizza also another area choice.

Los Agaves in South Charleston always has good Mexican food. (The guitar player/singer that works at the Bistro on Thursdays is at Los Agaves on Monday evenings.) Taste of Asia has a really good variety of several Asian cusines at their restaurants in South Charleston and Huntington.

The Quarrier Diner is open again. I haven't been there, but have heard a good report or two.

You aren't a true West Virginian (or at least southern WVian) if you don't like Tudor's Biscuit World..I agree with you on Ginos though.

Tutors might possibly be the best restaurant in the history of civilization.

Gino's not so much.

Beckley---The King Tut Drive In.

When I'm in Beckley I have to at least go there once while in town.

Delicious!

I agree with that. The Miller family built up a Wheeling institution there with the old German style bar and restaurant serving classic American fare. The Alpha was a favorite of, among many other people, Rachael Worby.

Of course, no trip to Wheeling would be complete without a visit to Coleman's Fish.
