Glad you found a place and welcome to WV. I guess size is relative. I know people who live out in the really small WV towns who have told me they could never live in such a large city! Now that you're a resident the only thing required is to become a Mountaineer!

As a retired educator, I can tell you I have witnessed many "city folk" move to our area with concerns your same concerns. I can proudly state that it didn't take them long to be SOLD on us and the area. I hope you have have the same "conversion" experience, .

If it isn't big enough, you could ask DuPont about openings at the Belle plant and maybe transfer closer to Charleston.

Welcome to Wood County and best wishes on "settling in"!

He can also walk to Buffalo Wild Wings and not worry about a DUI getting home.

LOL about BWW... As far as a mountaineer, I will always be a UTEP Miner LOL... But I am thinking of going to OSU for graduate school if time permit it.. Anyone go to OSU?? I was literally expecting to be paying $1300 for an apartment so $625 is a steal! I like the fact that Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Columbus is only a few hours away.. . I just hope I dont miss the night life that I had but then again I am there to work! By the way, Planet Fitness looks freaken awesome! And I will be moving in 2-3 with the company so lets see how my mind absorbs a small town lol.

My son just moved from El Paso back to WV in August. He works at the Belle DuPont plant.

The Sun Bowl is a beautiful setting for football.

We have been to a few tailgates and games. Always enjoyed our visits but I like my four seasons of changes here in good ol' WV.

The Miners and Mountaineers are in a basketball tournament in Orlando, FL the week of Thanksgiving this November.
