The two towns are very similar in many ways except we have a large university presence while they don't have that. Ashville does have some outstanding attributes (not the least of which is being the historical home of author Thomas Wolfe), which is why so many folks have retired to that area.
The similarity is why many are choosing to retire in our area as well.
