West Virginia's slogan
Hey WE the people of the great state of WV are finally getting a choice on what our state slogan will be on our interstate and highway signs. The current Gov. changed our slogan to "Open For Business" and now WE have a choice. Personally I think this current slogan is terrible! I remember it being Wild And Wonderful as well as Almost Heaven. Take a moment and go vote for what YOU would like to see on our signs. Can't complain if you don't vote

Heh- around south Berkeley County it should be "Used Cars and 'Boob' Bars"...
We have 20 used car lots and at least as many adult, ummm, entertainment venues in a 10 mile radius.
I've always like "Wild and Wonderful WV".. It's got my vote.

I voted for Wild and Wonderful, being a new resident for about almost 2 weeks. I remember that from a kid when we would come to WV to visit family. Plus, let us not forget the John Denver song Almost Heaven.

As a salute to our skiing and kayaking industries, I like "West Virginia: we're going downhill." And that "open for business" slogan always sounded to me like it ought to have the goatse image next to it.

Open For Business??!! The govenuer wants to change Almost Heaven with all the images John Denver's Country Roads triggers to Open for Business? Its sounds more likely to be his own personnel slogan than one representing the state I'm guessing.

He doesn't want to. He done did it. If you live in a border county, you get to see it every time you drive in and out of the state.
However,this petition immediately appeared online. It now has over 30,000 signatures protesting the change. If you want a laugh, read them.

The web page verifies that you're a West Virginian by asking for your zip code... so if you're out-of-state (like me), be sure to use a WV zip. FYI, 26419 is good.
