Default Beckley Mayor Pugh accused of state ethics act violations

Quote:
A panel representing the West Virginia Ethics Commission released information Tuesday alleging that Beckley Mayor Emmett Pugh has violated the Ethics Acts by using his public office for private financial gain.

The complaint states the Probable Cause Review Board — by a unanimous vote that took place March 21, 2012 — found probable cause to believe Pugh had violated nine provisions of the West Virginia Ethics Act regarding complaints filed against the mayor in March 2009 and 2011.

In the 19 page document, the summary of charges state: “The members of the Probable Cause Review Board charge that within the two years before the filing of the complaints in this matter, Emmett S. Pugh, Mayor of the City of Beckley, engaged in an ongoing course of conduct to use his Mayoral position and office for his own private financial gain and benefit as well as the private gain and benefit of others.

So??? This is Wv...What's new?

Why do you think these shills run for office in the first place?

1. Personal self agrandizement. (being important)

2. Make a buck from slopping at the public trough.

Sort of a play on words here, too...Pugh...Pew!
