Boy i am changing and proud of it.........

WV is well known for their hunting..I just never realized HOW much..

Hubby told me to keep an eye on the next few weeks with the weather cooling..U will see a total different buzz around here............never noticed before since i was having such a self pity party........anyway I have noticed alot more People in the sporting goods area..The jeans and shorts have been replaced by CAMO atire...........The excitement and hunger for fall and winter is def. approaching.........The women are already planning how they will spend their time alone while their men and kids :many women are throwing in their dustrags and joining in) are out hunting their next big KILL................This seems all normal to them.........I watch in amazement at all the activity and planning is going on..............The campers are getting dusted off and the 4 wheelers are getting their winter overhaul.........The itch is growing stronger each week waiting for THAT DATE it all begins..and it's rubbing off on ME...hey it's catchy.......don't want to be left out with all this fun a brewing..............

While driving dh will say there goes one or two or 5 or 6..Shoot i don't know how he spots them so quick............

Not sure yet if i am ready for the deer mount on my wall i like Walmart's talking deer head just fine............I am enjoying looking thru Cabela's catalog and never REALIZED how much money goes into this sport.....

OH yes the leaves are changing but that's NOT all that's going on in WV..i am so glad i am here to really enjoy WHAT else WV has to offer...........

ahhhhhhhh yes had to share my side :an outsider making this her home.

Lot of deer dying up here in Marion/Monongalia county...find them in or near the creeks with black tongues...Don't know if its the wasting desease or not...but hundreds have died...the valleys reek with the stench...this will be an interesting deer season.

so sad.........i tried to google on what it could be causing that..would something in their water supply be causing the disease?? i love the wildlife here i would hate to see anything happen to it..........

Confused Tee I hope you enjoy this upcoming season. My husband is an avid hunter and has the deer, squirrel, anything moving and furry itch, lol. Join in and have fun. As for me...can't bring myself to do it so I'll stay indoors, lol.

i am not actually INTO hunting..target practicing is fine with me..I have to say this is one season u def. can tell it's approaching..Beats running in all the shopping centers trying to beat the holiday rush...........

Our news has been posting all the wonderful areas to go for the leaves changing..It is so much prettier than looking at so much dryness and asphalt where i came from..

I do get a giggle when i see all the camo outfits being ''tested'' out in the restaurants and daily adventures we have here............My hubby included and i have seen many at church......A definite different side of WV that I sure didn't know anything about..PROUD i should SAY SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

If you want to see a truly great show... Come to Elkins the for the Mountain State Forest Festival.. its the largest festival in the state, attracting even more people than the state fair. Its a showcase of the mountains and the changing colors of the leaves. You will see oranges, yellows, reds, browns, etc. Very pretty.. Bring the kids, there is a carnival in downtown, and many music shows, and art and craft exhibits The parage is Saturday Oct. 6 around 11 or noon, and then there is a firemans parade once it gets dusk out. Its the first week in October. FUN FUN I can't wait to go home
