teaching is not an industry. Teaching while very important and needed does the opposite. It takes from a state's wealth, not add to it.

you must have never taken a sociology course and if you have you must have been sleeping through the parts where it is mentioned that education adds trillions of dollars to the economy. Whether its from the headstart age up to grad or professional degrees education creates an intelligent and knowledgeable populace that can innovate and produce more wealth than any amount spent attaining the education.

once again, the arrogance portrayed by this administration. Why you feel a need to belittle hard working people is beyond me.

he doesn't belittle hard working people... He's all in for the middle class and working class poor. He's only trying to make the wealthy americans and corporations who have been getting drastically reduced tax rates by jumping through tax loop holes to pay their fair share. He also wants them to pay their fair share in an environment not completely destroyed. Seems pretty cut and dry.

he never bothered with wv. He never showed up. Hillary was here many times and she easily took wv from obama. You can not completely ignore a group of people and expect them to support and vote for you.

actually he came once to wv during the primary... But once polls started showing that he was going to be creamed... He wrote it off... This was when we had those old church ladies on cnn telling the world how they wouldn't vote for a black man and that they were tired of the "hussein"

the white's are model citizens compared to much of chicago's inner city.

i like chicago... Very nice city actually... It seems always fly out of o'hare when flying internationally. Couldn't take the winters though. As for the whites.... Yeah, that's just kind of embarrassing... And sad.
obama 2012!!!

I get it. It makes perfect sense.
Nobody was seriously voting for the inmate. It was a protest vote, pure and simple. The inmate won't be on the ballot for the general election.

I'm not saying they were completely informed. I'm saying they would have voted for Alfred E. Newmann if he were the only alternative.

This is a shameful episode in primary elections.

They spout out the crap they think their constituencies want to hear then just keep doing whatever it is they do to keep the money and power in the hands of the super rich elite. That is their primary concern. They keep us peons arguing about matters that don't mean a thing to them... abortion, which energy to use (like they would really listen to any answers there) and greater police presence for traffic laws. As long as we are distracted by those matters, they can go on making us and our grandchildren pay for all their hair brained schemes and put their own money in the bank, which they also own.

The wacko contingent believes all the alarmist crap that is put out there, even though the evidence suggests it is pure bull$hit. One vulcanic eruption emits more CO2 than man is capable of producing in an entire year, but somehow man is killing the arctic teat mouse with CO2. And crap grown produce is healthier than fertilized produce (if you believe anything from Mexico is healthy you have to be nuts). Anyway, I'm sure you get the picture. Wackos control the liberal arts areas of our universities (they have tenured jobs and are insulated from the consequences of their bogus propoganda) and much of the media.

They also have a pseudo following among politicos. Al Gore, for example, is a classical alarmist but he burns more electricity in his home than 20 normal families. Are you really going to listen to somebody like that? I'll look around for something to sell you if your answer to that is yes.

Is mountain top removal "wacko" logic or a real issue? Even if there are native West Virginians that don't give a damn about the destruction of the environment there are those of us that do & guess what, we don't even live in WV.

Wrong, Senator Obama did campaign in WV even though his campaign received death threats, yet he came anyway.

Perhaps if the good people of WV would try using other media sources beside Fox News they just might open their eyes, then again they believe the lies, deceptions, & diabolical twisted logic of the likes of Limbaugh & others because that's what they want to believe.

When I think about the natural beauty of WV & remembering my trip there I said I don't believe that heaven could be any prettier. Instead of being coal-happy why don't they promote tourism, build interstate hwys so people would have better access, more resturants, hotels, & tourist guides? Your beauty is a gold mine, not a coal mine but you've become oblivious to it, ask a 1st time visitor their impression of WV & look at how they're in awe of your state. Why do you have such a allegiance to coal companies who are now destroying the main attraction to the state, the beautiful mountains & the lush greenery not to mention how they're wrecking havoc on the ecology & the lungs of any breathing creature? Attitudes, logic, mentality, industry, & time..............all changes, when will West Virginians change? This is no longer the era of the Hatfields & McCoys, it's the 21st century & it's time for you to catch up & move on. You're living in paradise & if I was a resident I'd want the world to see it & damn if I'd allow coal companies to destroy it.
