I read it, and it seems it implies RCB was a big supporter of JEH, who everyone knows was anti-MLK and believed him to be a communist subversive. In fact, MLK was a morally bankrupt individual and his supporters were socialist, communist and anti-american, but that's another story.
Do you have an proof that Dr. King was anti-American, communist?
Being Black, I find this very disturbing that this would even be said. I look at it as character defamation. I also have a stake in this because it was due to Dr. King's work that I can vote, go to school anywhere I want, and I can live as a free person in America. I have more freedom than Blacks 2 generations ago had.

I can answer this question. No he does not have any evidence. MLK was for a society that is equitable and just for all, and being equitable and just could not happen with segregation and discrimination. Apparently those are "communist, anti-American" values.

I figured he didn't have any proof. Character defamation is pretty common.

I think there is a misunderstanding. I dont think the poster was stating this, but he was saying Senator Byrd made this statement. The proof that Byrd believed this is from the letter. I dont believe there is any proof that Martin luther King was an anti-American communist, but people who didnt like him felt he was.
Bumpus, do you mean you can't believe that Byrd said those crazy things?
Or you don't believe that that letter was in fact sent by Byrd?
I do not believe either one ! ! ! ...
