Corgis, I am sorry I have offended you. But you see I myself have been offended and so I'm taking up for myself. Sorry you chose to read this thread repeatedly and witness our heated discussion. I'm sure your not alone in your thoughts, and I'm sure that people who are indifferent to this topic or are bothered by the discussion have ignored this thread. Which in fact is an old thread that someone revived at some point to slur gays, in which I became confrontational, which I don't and will not apologize for.

Never apologize for fighting for what you feel is yours to fight for. What was that thing we said as kids" Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words can never hurt me".
We live to fight another day.

Actually, I was enjoying hearing both sides.

The root cause of lack of legit debate. When your opinions are fixed/ rigid, you are in as much declaring yourself omnipotent ending any pretense of discussion.

Your characterizations contradict. Enjoyable conversations are very subjective, and have the qualifier of being mutual.

Start a new thread about transplants and cultural adjustments. I've got a feeling you'll find out otherwise.
When in rome scenario. When you stubbornly insist wearing shoes in a Japanese home don't act surprised when you aren't invited indoors.

Take an interest in what others consider respectful you might have different results.
Fight you or you'll lose respect for me? I'm sure I've enough self respect to muddle through without it somehow. No deal.
The point of fighting with someone swinging at the air? We've established that everyone else's input is completely irrelevant (except those who agree with you). Want a soapbox? This thread is all about you, right? I need only step aside and witness the depths you'll drag yourself on your own steam. When in doubt, dig deeper, faster, and be sure to shoot the messenger. No problemo, I've got my kevlar wonder woman girdle on.

Any person entering debate, thinking they may be wrong, is certain to lose that fight. If you have no confidence in your argument, best you keep it to yourself.

If we are sitting for coffee, and you bring up gay rights in WV, you suggest I say nothing? If it is brought up, it is fair game for comment. Herd enterd his thoughts into the public domain. If you don't want to talk about a subject, don't bring it up.

You're mixing customs with opinions. I've lived abroad for many years, including 5 in the Middle East. I can adapt to anyones "custom", as I'm in their environment. I expect the same when they visit me. I do not force my life style onto anyone. I demand the same in return.

If you don't have an opinion on the subject, stay out of the discussion. Easy enough? This forum is everyones soapbox. You don't like what I'm saying? Don't read it.
As with all your previous posts, you've said nothing about your stance on this issue. You've simply stood on the side lines, blowing your chaff. You fill the page with words, but say nothing. Surprised you don't work for a politician.

Third time, as blunt, monosyllabic and brief as possible;
There is no discussion. It's all about you.

Oh Hinton haven't you learned? Everything is always about me! ha ha I packed enough for Poland but currently the exchange rate is amazing so I'm just being a little American consumer over here buying everything ha ha. Oh and the Vodka is amazing, and "real" beer!!! Its much more toxic than the beer in the states. After one of our heated discussions and we're sitting on that hypothetical porch people have mentioned I'll bring some. ha ha

Enjoy! There are many topics aside from this one to waste our day with. I can always use another "immune" poison ivy puller.

I was offered a 'natty lite' beer a few days ago. It made me higher than double shots of tequilla. What the heck is in it, formaldehyde & anti freeze?
Have fun!
 (but try to behave!) LOL
