By say having a picture of your partner and you on your desk, or taking time off of work to care for them if they are ill? Or sitting silent when everyone else is talking about significant others? Is this how gays and lesbians are supposed to live? Submissive to heterosexuals?

In my experience that's how you have to live if you want to keep your job. I don't think any job is worth it. And if you get fired or forced to quit because they make your life miserable, there isn't much you can do. Sure, you can file a complaint if you don't mind having your personal life drug through the media if you work in a high profile company or a state job.

I don't, I don't understand why everyone thinks I'm being irate and confrontational. I'm just stating my points. Maybe if I put 12 exclamation points after my sentences and the little red angry face, then maybe I'm pee'd off but generally I'm not. So no calming is really necessary on my part. Also people need to remember I'm extremely passive-aggressive and cynical.
