More gays and lesbians are coming out and not living in hiding. Nearly everyone now has a gay cousin, child, friend, coworker, neighbor. It will not be as nearly a big deal in 30 years. I guarantee it. That is a long time though... I'll be 52
I'll be 73 in 30 years. I hope I live long enough to see that day myself.

Have you read any of Jeff Mann's books yet? I was lucky enough to get a first edition (not the reprinted edition) of his book "The Edge" on ebay. Brand new condition. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to get his newest book.

I went to trans-allegheny books in Parkersburg to get a copy. Guess what? They don't carry any of his books, and they specialize in WV authors.

Well that sounds like a lovely party. Gay themed even!!! Flames everywhere ha ha

What are you talking about???????? I have no idea what you are talking about, and consider yourself told that I'm an Atheist. I don't go to church, and never went so these people and lingo your discussing means nothing. It would be like me trying to explain why I am an Atheist or how I was born gay. You just wouldn't understand, nor would you obviously want to. But you should probably start thinking how to tell your god how you used its supposed word as a way to spread hate and ignorance.

I haven't read any of his books. I've been on this hardcore reading kick lately, I've finished two books in 7 days. What does he write about? I suppose I could order it online, I'm just not sure of what my address is over here in Warsaw. ha ha

That is his official web site.

Here is a link to his newest book.

Loving Mountains, Loving Men - Ohio University Press & Swallow Press

Loving Mountains, Loving Men is the first book-length treatment of a topic rarely discussed or examined: gay life in Appalachia. Appalachians are known for their love of place, yet many gays and lesbians from the mountains flee to urban areas.

His books are worth finding out what your address is over there!

One of my earlier post's has a link to his father's news article. I'll see if I can find it.

Wow, how did it get there, and what purpose does that serve? Perhaps he can swing by the local Pediatric Cancer ward and explain to all the dying children why he gave them cancer and allows them to suffer when he can heal them with a simple touch... After all, he is "all loving" right?

He may not get past the metal detectors though...

Maybe he can even cure Herd of his "gay"

If you want to believe everything that the TV preachers tell you in hopes that you send them a check, you go ahead.

I've got my bible and it tells me what the Messiah taught and how He was.

I'm not a Universalist. I believe in a Limited Atonement.

Google it.

But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

The days of Noah were famous for disgusting sexual practices, invalid (illegal/anti-scriptural) marriages, and the days of Lot were famous for sodomites and the societal acceptance of sodomy as normal, healthy, and valid.

It is indeed a sign of the times. The canary in the mine is dying. Almost all of the pieces are in place.

It won't be too long before the Messiah returns. Is there anything unusual about that belief? A key part of any scripturally sound Christian's belief system will always be the belief that Jesus will be returning at some point in time. He told His original followers what some of the key signs would be. We are now seeing almost all of those key signs, indeed the vast majority. That's why I don't believe it will be too long before He returns.
I'm just wondering, if gays getting married is the thing stopping your messiah from returning, why would you discourage them from getting married? The rapture index raised to proper heights could really hasten the second coming. Meeting Jesus sooner than you ordinarly would have... nothing but incentive.

Oh, I could care less if they get married, or whatever the state wants to call it. The state could call men and sheep marriage, but it doesn't matter. The United States government won't last through the end-times and virtually no politicians will make it through the end-times.

I honestly don't care what Babylon wants to call marriage. I know what scripture says, I know what I believe, and that's good enough for me. If gays want to parade around and call their relationships marriage, that's their perogative. God doesn't consider it marriage, so I don't care what the state wants to call it, as I know where I stand (based on what I know of scripture).
