I still say either ye or ya for you. I think most of us are taught to write using proper grammar but we just never learned to speak it. ;>)

Question --- do y'all say "pop" or "soda?" "Buggy" or "shopping cart?" I had a discussion about this just recently with some out of state friends. (I say pop and buggy.)

Same as you... it's "pop" and "buggy". Soda is some sort of fizzy water that doesn't taste very good (unless mixed with Scotch )

Having an elementary school kid and trying to learn Spanish have both made me realize:
1) how many incomprehensible idioms we use
2) how quickly we speak / slur our words

Hi,
We also are looking to relocate from a large town in indiana to WV in about a year and half or so, waiting for my son to graduate. My parents from Cedar Grove, my cousins live in Gilmer county and we are visiting the summersville area first week in nov, then going to a farm house that all the guys in my family pay rent on on green bank for hunting(we going to relax not hunt).. I am soooo looking forward to being away from people, not only for the week we will be visiting, but when are able to move there. In a big city, there always seems to be a crap ton of people everywhere I want or need to be lol my mom who passed away in dec, had many sayings, which i find myslef saying just cuz i grew up hearing them, and people here in Elkhart, In think they are funny. For example, if someone is making a bad choice regarding their life, job etc, my used to say "she is driving her ducks to a poor market:, or if someone had a run of bad luck, she would say "they ain't paying the preacher enough", love them sayings and in her last months, i wrote some of them down. When she passed, she was 74 and was still using sayings that I had not heard her say before.
