We just keep forgetting what a wonderful piece of heaven you live in now on Tobacco Road. Thanks for reminding us, but one wonders why you aren't over on the Tarheel board touting the benefits of that special piece of cancer history instead of here making lame efforts to put down our city.
I do agree that Fairmont has the best pepperoni rolls though.
Not sure why you rag on RVA like he/she's a tobacco farmer or tycoon. I doubt he/she does anymore than live there. Nevertheless, my understanding is that Country Club Bakery in Fairmont is the first commercial establishment that baked and sold pepperoni rolls. Am I wrong?

He is constantly coming here ragging on our town and touting where he is living. I'm merely pointing out the inaccuracies in some of the things he posts. I have no idea if Country Club was the first to commercially sell pepperoni rolls, but I do agree that they are the best. Our local entry if Julia's, and they are good, but I like Country Club's better.

I lived just a few blocks from the bakery for many, many years. It's my understanding that Country Club Bakery is the original. They're really good too.
The WV Power will be offering a giant pepperoni roll at the ballpark this year. However, looking at the picture in the story, that pepperoni roll has too much bread.

Yeah from that pic there is a too much bread to pepperoni ratio, needs a side of sauce so it don't dry your mouth out.

They're probably trying to make them there, and you just can't do that and get a quality product. To get a real, authentic quality pepperoni roll it has to come from North Central West Virginia. Everything else is an inadequate, cheap immitation.

Yes, I have to agree. I love going to a game and was interested when I saw where this would be available but I'm glad I got to see the make up of the roll before hand.

I agree, everyone else is doing wrong.
I mean it is possible at some point they might get it right at some point but right now the only good ones are the ones from NCWV.
I for one am proud that Northern WV culture is becoming dominant in WV. The future is looking brighter for all of WV.
I'm pretty sure fairmont was a boomtown long before morgantown. Just because it is a ghost city these days doesn't mean it doesn't have its own heritage.
