Smile Hey All I could use a little help here.

I will be staying in Gallipolis Ohio 45631 for the next three weeks with my job, and was looking for some fun things to do, or places to see, ...ect. You know when in Rome. There are a few things i would like for sure, a non-deno. Christian Church to go to on sunday, good food, and good people, a game of pool, and maybe a beer or two, we work long hours during the week, so it would be nice to see the beauty of your hometown, during the weekends. thanks ahead of time for your info. I could not find any good deals on hotels anywhere around the area, so if you know of any or boarding rooms that would be great.

I don't think there's much of anything in Gallipolis. There used to be a good smorgasbord across the river in Henderson/Point Pleasant (I think it was called Duffs, but it's probably been 20 years since I've eaten there) but that's about the extent of it. I'm sure you'll be able to find a small bar with some pool tables.

Huntington isn't too far away. I think it's about 30-45 minutes from Gallipolis to Huntington. It's pretty much a straight shot down WV Route 2 or Ohio Route 7. You can find pretty much everything you listed above and more in Huntington though. Lots of good places to eat at Pullman Square and throughout downtown. You might even find a place to stay there if it isn't too far of a drive for you. I've heard that the Holiday Inn by Pullman Square does offer business rates for extended stays. Let me know if you need anymore info.
