Awww! That's not nice...Maryland does NOT smell bad (with a few exceptions perhaps).

There isn't a smell in Keyser, but if you happen into Westernport (by the McDonalds) there is a terrible smell from the waste plant.

Oh yeah!
Luke is more affectionately known as Puke, Maryland.
If you get a Northern wind, look out.

If your ever looking for the mill just head south of Cumberland or North of Keyser and follow your nose.

I've been looking at WV houses on realtor's websites all year, and simply couldn't understand why such pretty houses in Keyser were so, so cheap, and why they were listed for sale for months and never sold.

ah...HA. Right. Crossing Keyser off the list then. Smell is something that makes a big difference to me.

Any other Stinkyvilles to report, besides those mentioned already?
I tried to find out where landfills would be too, with no luck yet...anybody have a link to such information?

I thought what stunk about keyser was a developer selling land for outrageous acreage prices because it had a view of potomac.
Suggest part of your search should include superfund cites and epa designated zones. used to be a category in citydata area descriptions, haven't seen it lately though. compares statistical weather, crime, etc. very comprehensive way to look at a place before ever driving there. Epa maps should be found at their website directly if citydata doesn't have it anymore.
Stats about all US cities - real estate, relocation info, house prices, home value estimator, recent sales, maps, race, income, photos, education, crime, weather, houses, and more
