Default Transportation Service in Charles Town/Ranson Area

Is there any shuttle bus service to the MARC train stations in the area? Also are there any Charter Buses that will take you to downtown DC? Is there any public bus transportation (like Metro) that provide transportation to the MARC? Just looking for an alternate way to get to work in case the car breaks down.

Call PanTran and check the commuter bus schedule and see if the MARC is a stop. I'd imagine that they are.

As far as charter buses to DC, why not simply take the MARC directly to Union Station? If you really want a charter bus, check the yellow pages and give some of them a jingle..

there are probably some vanpools and/or carpools that go into DC on a daily basis. my guess would be that you'll need to network with co-workers, neighbors, and community members to find those rides.

I know there is at least one, maybe two vanpools that leave for DC area from the Charles Town shopping plaza across the street from Walmart.
Alot of folks will catch the MARC train to the DC area.
You can catch the train for a couple weeks and in the process, learn more about the other possible options.
