Anyone have the 411 on what is going on at this development behind Weis in Ranson?

Last year there signs were posted at the three streets that lead into the community no thru traffic/local traffic only. Then late last year security cameras were posted at on two streets that exit onto Flowing Springs Road.

Just yesterday I drove by on my way to Martins and there was a new sign posted next to the security cameras route 9/340 with an arrow indicating that it is one mile to the south. No Thru traffic. $500 fine!

I am not going state what my first reaction was, but what is going on here? Does anyone know? Can a community restrict access to roads we PAY to have maintained? Who ever instigated this- the Briar Run HOA or whatever entity, I feel is setting themselves up for a big lawsuit.

It only applies to trucks over 12 tons. The roads weren't engineered to handle all the weight:

Thx, Stormes. I was cutting through their precious neighborhood anyway, but now I can do it without angst.

Just an FYI...the maintenance of Briar Run roads are paid by the residents of the development (through their HOA fees). Refer to the following journal article for more information:[mod]link removed, please wait with posting links and/or recommendations until you have at least 10 posts [/mod]
