I've come to the conclusion that roughly 1/5 cars in Morgantown wind up in a ditch on snow days...

We have about 4" on the ground...noon here. The grand poobah at the Marion County Board of Education must have canceled the local schools LAST NIGHT before the snow began...because... What that means in Fairmont is NO ROAD CINDERS...I got within 1 mile of my destination this morning and the North bound road (RT 250) was closed by the police department.
This canceled the entire day...I got to listen to Hoppy K on the radio interviewing a football players dad as I drove home...doing paper work and puttting another log on the fire....save those cinders, Mr. MoJo. I really like a snow day as often as I can get it...I'm on salary....lets check tomorrows weather...Is it close enough to Friday to cancel the entire week? I'm lovin' it.

3-4 inches by Noon here in Western Pa. Only schools closed are down along the WV border (Albert Gallatin, Brownsville, etc.). A few others had delays, or early dismissals, but most seem to be on a regular schedule.

Wouldn't this be a great time to be at Blackwater Falls? or Watoga?

Snorpus

It was a mess driving yesterday morning. They never cancel school here unless it's a blizzard.

One of those essential personnel types who HAS to go to work so that's where I was.

At least, people drove reasonably for the road conditions and there weren't too many wrecks.

I haven't turned on my cell phone yet. I'm off today but I know there will voice mail. :)
