Wow a pub and ice cream!?!

Kroger needs to step it up. Haha

That is cam sharp looking design, and I specifically like that the atrium entrance seems to reach the entire width of the store. Hopefully Martinsburg won't get shafted and will get this design. It's amazing how sometimes companies will "build down or up to" the standards that they see in an area.

Most people enjoy quality when they are given the opportunity. That is why Sheetz will beat out a 7-11 everyday of the week. Even places that have traditionally produced a generic look have seen the benefits of upgrading their visual environment in order to not lose out to companies that have taken a step towards quality. Architecture and interior design go along ways in determining a businesses success. Example: Target vs Kmart. Both offer roughly the same products and are similar in size. The difference is that Target has modern stores, trendy products, and is growing; while Kmart is on life support.

WV has settled for a lesser quality product from large retail companies for too long. The adds to the perception others have about our state and also discourages some businesses from locating here that feel that their product would be lessened here.

This will definitely help Weis compete with Martin's/Giant. The older-style Weis stores just didn't look that nice. With online shopping becoming so popular, physical stores need to start "wowing" people again to get people in the doors. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of what that new Weis looks like inside!

has anyone heard a time table as to when this is supposed to be finished and what any other stores or restaurants will be located there. it seems to be taking a long time since it was announced a couple years ago.

As it stands, Weis is the only announced tenant. I drove past the site today and they are still removing trees and flattening land. I don't even think they are even 50% finished with ground prep. In their defense, it is a very hilly property with tons of rocks and forestation. This has certainly been a long project, and I think it will still be a while before any structures begin to go up and more tenants are announced (if there are any).

I love the atrium! It makes the whole store look airy and upscale.

That looks really nice. Weis's new interior design scheme seems to be taking a
page from Wegmans. Hope this will be the design of the new Martinsburg
store.

Doesn't look like much has happened at this construction site in a few months. Just a small section of woods cleared and a big dirt pile. I wonder what's holding this project up?

So why did the work on Weis Plaza stop? All but two pieces of equipment have been removed.
