looking in the Clarksburg area; home & work
I'm looking for work in the C'burg area, north, south, or C'burg within 50 miles or so. My healthcare career makes the job search fairly narrow, but I hear so many pros and cons about several towns in the area. Wheeling sounds almost ideal. There is a job opening in Weston; where might be a place near there where there is small town values but nearby conveniences within a hour or so? Thank you for your thoughts!

If we are going to talk medical jobs within 50 miles of Clarksburg I would highly recommend the hospitals in Morgantown (30 minutes north). Ruby Memorial and Mon General along with West Virginia University Medical School combine to make Morgantown pretty much the epicenter of higher medicine in the state aka LOTS of medical related jobs. I don't know what your current living situation is in terms of town size etc, as a resident of the DC area I consider Morgantown (pop. 28,000) to be a smaller town. If you wanted REALLY small as in less than 15,000 residents, W.Va is the right place, there are tons of such communities within close driving distance to Morgantown. I went to school in Morgantown for 4 years so if you need more info, give me a little more info about your preferences and I can try and assist.

By the way, Wheeling would be outside your 50 mile radius... it's about 100 miles (2 hrs driving time) from Clarksburg to Wheeling.
Weston itself is a small town, and it's about half an hour from there to Clarksburg.

United Hospital Center has broken ground on a new expanded facility in Bridgeport, WV (which is the Clarksburg region). The I-79 corridor from Morgantown to Clarksburg seems to be a good bet for you.
