Default re

I used to work a farm that my uncle owned just outside of Ripley and thought the landscape was very pretty. Stuff spreads around that place fast though-kindof a funny thing happened. We were working the farm very hard one summer, and we were plowing a hillside that sat directly across from another hillside about 600 meters from us. The people would sit on their porch and watch us all of the time, and somehow rumors got started around Ripley that we were bringing in exotic animals and keeping them on the land to hunt. Everytime we would work a hillside where people could see in, they'd watch us lol. I guess they wanted to see a zebra or lion or something. Somebody just made the story up and spread it around, then it seemed like everybody was curious about the place. I never met an unfriendly person there though.

Smile Alpine

Hi. I was in Ripley last week. My Aunt and her husband owned the alpine theater and the restaurant there. They recently sold both buildings. Due to their age and the buildings conditions, they took an offer for them, and the new owners are remodeling them... one is a wine/cheese store i believe.
