Construction is well under way for two Beckley Appalachian Regional Healthcare projects — a Medical Mall and a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab.
Beckley ARH officials said these projects, totaling nearly $6 million, will boost the medical services available to patients from Raleigh and surrounding counties.
"We are very, very excited about these two projects," said Beckley ARH Community CEO Rocky Massey.
The 27,000-square foot medical mall, located in the former Grand Home Furnishings building at the Cranberry Creek Plaza, is a $3 million project that will include ear, nose and throat (ENT), dermatology and women's health specialists, cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation services, and the Rejuvenation Center medical spa.
The project should be completed in February 2016.
The $2.7 million cardiac catheterization lab and peripheral angiography lab will be constructed on the main hospital campus, located at 306 Stanaford Road. The lab will feature Siemens technology and five pre/post-procedure beds.
Construction should be completed in December this year and open to patients in January 2016.
