Default Living between Waynesburg and Morgantown

I will shortly be leaving to attend school at WVU, I am a non traditional student, (yea like 28!) I have a roommate that currently attends Waynesburg university. We were curious if there is anywhere to live in between the two towns? We will most likely both end up working at bars in Morgantown. Not really lookin for a desolate town though, or a dump. If it was up to me we would just live in Morgantown, but she is worried that living in West Virginia will complicate her financial aid. Any input would be appreciated!

Default Curious

We're coming to Morgantown in May of this year after a 33 year Navy career. I'll be attending graduate school at WVU. We've never been to the area, except in passing but have been attracted to the beautiful country.

We have a Beagle and one child. Any information regarding nice area to live within some proximity to the school would be appreciated. We'd like to lease a house, or perhaps a condo/townhouse (unfurnished). Currently in Okinawa, Japan.
