delusianne - I totally agree! Summersville is somewhat famous for the # of speeding tickets the local police give out. I think it would be WONDERFUL if they had the sme reputation for being a drug-intolerant, harsh-penalty town!!!

Is this what citizens committees are formed for - to ride herd (politely of course, but firmly) on city hall, law enforcement...sort of a lobbying group for the taxpayers?

I have lots of family in Nicholas County, and some of my young cousins are making the wrong choices! The older ones seem to be helpless to do anything, just feel afraid, feel that the police are hooked in with the drugies, afraid for their property. How do you motoviate people like that to take action? I do not live there, but plan to in a bout 8 years, and I can only imagine how bad it will be then.

Get a ball N glove on spend time with the kids.Teach them,learn from them. It is still possibe to change things around. Relocating to WV soon. Why you ask. Jobs weak,pay low but still I come. Why. 1 Red Neck 2 non drinker nor drug user,3 Live in Tampa Fl. Ouch you say Drug crimes,drive by shootings,assault,etc. is rampant. Wife and I carry and act if needed. Born on a farm up north and have put up with as much as I can. Need to return even if it means less income. Personally I miss a good Bear steak. Can't hunt Bear in florida. See them once in a while. But can only shoot them with a camera not my Bow.Been in wv before and really like the area. will live in the mountains work in the city if needed but because of what I do for a living it shouldn't be a problem. I do Heating,A/C and refrigeration. Retired from the company I mean THE company. I can run a trout line chop wood and hunt from dusk till dawn and love every second of it.

I was born in NH, grew up in NY, lived last 12 years in VA. Retiring from the Navy to enjoy the WV land and people. I recommend the area between Beckley and Lweisburg.

Careful with the "Jobs weak,pay low" - depends on the area. Didn't you say you were moving to Tucker County? Is true for that area.
