The historic C&O Depot in Marlinton, in existence since the Greenbrier Subdivision was constructed in the early 1900s, was destroyed by fire last Friday.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, in recent years the structure has housed the Pocahontas County Convention and Visitors Bureau. It was one of the last remaining examples of the traditional yellow and white stations of the C&O. |
