Default Technical or Vocational Schools in Jefferson County

Are there any technical or vocational schools in Jefferson county? I'm looking for Nurses Aid training or anything in the nursing field. I would like to learn how to check in patients, take blood pressure, and weighing. Any information would be helpful.

Your best bet, short of enrolling at Shepherd University, would probably be
the Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in Martinsburg (Berkeley County):

I think Mountain State U has some sort of nursing program as well. It's in Martinsburg as well.

James Rumsey is your best bet...located just outside of Martinsburg. You can also check with nearby nursing homes a few do their own training & you have to pass the state test....

If you are afraid of the word college or university attached to the learning center that will grant you a certificate in this chosen field....then do it through a nursing home. The idea of re-training or training in any field has an attitude of fear of the unknown attached to it. Think of the skills you have already mastered...how did they come into your brain?
This class can/could lead to LPN (More Money), RN (Much More Money) and RN Administration and Associate Nursing Certification...Great money, but great burnout factor too....

Our/My generation is looking at an age factor of 100. The generation of my children is looking at an age factor of 110/115....that longevity means several careers and some of them might be life dreams attained after our own children are raised.

If you have this dream to succeed at this work...let nothing hold you back from rewarding yourself...it is a gift...
It is owed to you...the satisfaction of succeeding in it.
But it must be TOOK too...It is yours but not given freely...the free things have no lasting meaning/value...
Take this gift of learning and push it as far as it will take you.

You will find that the people in your like circle will give encouragement and help you succeed.
Those that laugh and do their best to hold you back are not really friends.

These and many other opportunities like them are abounding in Wv and many will not even take the trouble to look for them...the providers of these services are so desperate for your help that they will do almost everything but take the classes for you...good luck...no, a person makes their own luck...take a deep breath and go get it...this ones yours!
