twentyfour01 is on a distinguished road
Greetings, West Virginians... I am going to be spending a week in your lovely state in late July and would like suggestions on the best places to camp in the Monongahela National Forest (or any state parks in the part of the state). I don't have a big RV... just a small trailer. Any particularly outstanding campgrounds? (or, ones I should avoid?)

Pictures are wonderful. I'm driving from Parkersburg to Elkins next week. In view of all the rain, need I worry about any of the roads being flooded.

Once upon a time in rural long island there was a saying-- 'If the good lords willing and the creeks don't rise'. Seems that saying is more true in appalacia than anywhere. All promises made, including missing your own wedding, are contingent upon the creeks, right?
