Because of the 'Extreme Security in NCWV, the police presence here is almost overbearing.
What goes on unnoticed and undisturbed is the drug use...as if ?% of the younger generation are not hooked.

I know they have tried recruiting my ways (Northern, Central/Southwestern Virginia), I have heard of meetings being held around the Shepardstown/Martinsburg area in WV.

I haven't read thru all the pages, so I may be repeating what someone has already said. But the headquarters for the National Alliance, a white supremacy group, is based in Hillsboro, WV. I drove thru there one time and it was such a small quaint little town, its right near Droop Mtn. That's all I know about it. I haven't heard anything about the KKK since I've been here in this state, about 2 years now.

In Northern WV, it has been well documented that the KKK existed. There is a true story that was published in a novel written about 6 yrs. ago in Beauty Before Comfort. The story goes; a well known town resident who made KKK pottery had a black women come to work for him to keep his home after his wife passed. Well, seems his housekeeper had a child and she named him after her employer who was the child's father. It's a good book, gives alot of history about pottery and an affair this young woman had with a real prominet old man who invented church offering envelopes. The story was probably true as my grandfather was known for his womanizing ways.

Don't kid yourselves...
The kkk was alive & well when I was in WV in the late 70's. How do I know? Only the sickest and saddest event in my life... They WERE the police, and their favorite thing to do was kill somebody and frame somebody else. And they were good at it. They hide themselves and cover for each other. And people in their path get destroyed.
