To all readers, be advised that there is a rumor going around about construction on The Commons ceasing. I know first hand that this is false. If you get word of this rumor, please do not spread it any further because it is false. Thanks! -mmccul

There used to be an Italian bistro on King / Burke Streets, across from the Arts center (the old post office). Don't know who owns it, or if it is still open, but the food there used to be fantastic and homemade.

The Best Buy will be opening in August!

I'm just curious, how did you find this out? And no, besides the 9 anchors listed in previous posts, we don't know of any smaller stores yet. Things are really moving along now. Target's exterior is alost finished, and the west side building's walls are rapidly going up. Thanks for your post! -mmccul

The Herald - Mail Newspaper in Hagerstown, MD printed this article just recently regarding The Commons. I have a feeling that the "Sources familiar to the project" might be us! -mmccul

It looks like WVDOH is getting ready to place the stoplight where the entrance to The Commons will be. Also, they appear to be laying some gravel where the parking lots & avenues will be. -mmccul

I believe that Rt45 at the entrance of The Commons will be upgraded to six lanes also (Two lanes turning into The Commons).

I also read that all of the stoplights on that stretch will be reworked to be synchronized for greater traffic flow (NY Ave> Winchester Ave> Lowes> Foxcroft Ave> Exit 12 Stop Light> The Commons). This is a great idea, because right now traffic is a nightmare on this stretch.
