How big is the target compared to the two wal-marts in the area?

Target
The view from Target will be the only good thing about that chain.Hopefully the Martinsburg store will do real well and put that dingy store in Hagerstown out of business

I believe both Martinsburg Wal Marts are 200,000 or so square feet. Target is approx. 130,000 square feet.

After leaving BB&B I drove up to the Target and Dick's Sporting Goods area and was pretty amazed by the view. That was the first time I was at the 'top' of the development. You can see a panoramic view of the mountains from the Target parking lot. Pretty neat, I bet at night it will be cool to see the view of lights of the town below.

Yes, I agree about the view, it is pretty amazing! Also, whatever restaurant moves into that front outparcel will have a great view north onto 81, Foxcroft Ave., and the mall area. -mmccul

Oh, I did notice on front window of PetSmart that 'Opening Soon' means July 25th.

Looking for my earlier posting prior to signing on...anyway, stopped by the BB&Beyond this evening and my bubble burst. It's nice but I was hoping that it was going to be as big as the one up in Huyett and hopefully secretly wished it would be the same size as the one in Frederick, MD. Had to use the r/rm. Noting 2 stalls and one wash basin. How odd? Most have at least 2 wash basins.
I'm hoping that the Target, judging by it's current size will be as big if not bigger and better than the one up in the Hagerstown area. One can only hope.
I agree though about the view. It's great.
Can we get a decent restaurant/pub in there?
I've seen commercials for Dave and Busters. That would be nice. Or even a Buffalo Wild Wings like the one up there in the Hagerstown area.
There's another restaurant that's kind of like Dave and Busters with the games (no, not ChuckECheezies), but can't recall the name of it now.

The square footage will be a little smaller on most stores because I believe they base size off of the trade area. The trade area for Martinsburg probably only consists of Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan counties. We will sacrifice a couple thousand square feet on some stores, but It's nice to finally get new shopping options.

We won't be seeing a Dave and Buster's for a long time. They are very big inside and need alot of revenue. The closest ones around here are Hanover, MD and Bethesda, MD and I've been to the one in Havover. Its connected to the Adrundel Mills Mall. We already have a Buffalo Wild Wings on Foxcroft so honestly the only thing to look forward to is I guess some private bar if the Buffalo Wild Wings here you don't like. Sorry.

The Buffalo Wild Wings over there near The Outback ? If so, been in there. Unless they've done some serious remodeling with the tv's and Buzztime trivia then it's no comparison to the one up in Huyett/Hagerstown area. Glory Days in Ranson is nice but that's Jefferson Cnty and although they've got the multiple tv's and maybe ONE game console up at the bar, still no interactive gaming like Buffalo Wild Wings. I would still welcome a Glory Days in the Commons though or similar set-up.
