I'm up for watching the show though if Berkeley would like to take on that challenge I'd love to see the EP grow and prosper more, I'd like to see Charleston do the same thing though.

Kanawha County is really the same as three counties geographically, not population wise. If you included the same geographic area around Berkeley as you have with Kanawha, the population would be much larger for Berkeley. Same with Wheeling/Ohio County and Huntington (even though those areas have been losing population). Including the same geographic area as Kanawha for Morgantown-Clarksburg you would have a slightly larger population for North Central. The difference is both North Central and Berkeley are growing.

Bummer that Circuit City filed for bankruptcy today - will miss the one in Charleston if it closes.
Think they want part of the bailout package?

I imagine it will probably be inside of Target. All of the other brand new Target stores I have been in have a full-service Starbucks in the front of the store. I love Starbucks and would love to see one (or more) come to the Martinsburg area. Afterall, both Hagerstown and Winchester each have two.

Best Buy applied for a permit today. It looks like they will be the last anchor store.

Great! I can't wait until opening day of The Commons. The Martinsburg area has been needing this for a long time and I know this center will thrive. If you look at the shopping centers at Hagerstown and observe the liscence plates you'll notice a pattern: MD, WV, MD, WV. By the time you get to Hagerstown from Martinsburg, you spend a handful of cash just on gas alone.

There is a great audio/video store in Hagerstown called Hunt Audio (at least there used to be). Folks that know good systems, sound tymber matching- Service and knowledge you just will not get at Best Buy.
I went to Best Buy in Morgantown a month or so ago and the 'expert' had no idea what a frequency response range was on the speakers they were selling.
I left quickly, lol.

I wonder when The Journal (Martinsburg's newspaper) is going to write an article about The Commons. When Spring Mills Towne Center first broke ground, The Journal had an article about the center on the front page the very next day. Now we're about five months into construction and nothing from The Journal. I know the community is curious and over half of Martinsburg residents still don't even know anything about the center.

Agreed. The residents of Berkeley County are filling the parking lots of Washington County, MD and Frederick County, VA shopping centers and restaurants. I hope when this shopping center opens that it will keep people in town more and maybe the Martinsburg Mall will improve with increased traffic. Our mall sure needs some bigger stores, maybe American Eagle, Aeropostale, GAP, Old Navy, Hollister, etc.

...and you say this like I didn't know this or something? I am getting a degree in Geography..
I think I've gathered from your posts that Morgantown is growing... thank you for that clarification.
Same thing if you took a state the size of Arizona or any of the western states and placed it over the area of WV. That state would be one of the top 3-4 largest states in terms of populations. Does it matter? Not on paper...
